old characters new drawing

I was going through some of my old sketchbooks this weekend, about seven years worth of drawings and sketches with pitifully little improvement.

A few (like 5 or 6) things in them, I thought were interesting (ridiculous) enough to take a shot at sketching again.

I think I originally designed these two in... 2005? I was (and still am) terrible about remembering to date my drawings. But, if memory serves, elf boy could control fire and the girl was super strong. For some reason, all my characters wore baggy pants and boots with metal studs on them. I have no idea how her outfit stays on, and someone could strangle elf boy with those silly arm-ribbons.
